Christmas in San Diego

I’m going to tell you about Christmas’s in San Diego. As you might know (if you’ve read “Christmas in Melbourne”) that for Christmas I alternate and go to my mom’s mom house which is in San Diego and my dad’s parents house which is in Melbourne.

When we have Christmas with my mom’s side of the family my mom’s sister and brother in law come to my grandma’s house and we all stay there for Christmas and New Years. We do lots of things. I like to paint paintings with acrylic paints, sometimes we have a picnic in my grandma’s front yard, and we always go to some playgrounds and beaches.

There is this one playground that we always go to thats bye a beach. It’s called Mission Bay Park. It’s really fun because it’s really big and it has a lot of things to play with.

Also when we go to San Diego we go to the beach a lot and we go body boarding and its really fun. I have a body board. On the body board it has an ocean design with dolphins and fish.

On Christmas day we usually wake up and have breakfast, sometimes it’s pancakes usually waffles though  and then we can open presents. We don’t do a lot on Christmas but it’s still really fun to visit my grandparents, cousins, friends, aunts, and uncles.

Here are some picturse

Christmas in Melbourne

I’m going to tell you about some times when my mom, dad, my two brothers (Christian and Max), and I go to Melbourne to visit my dad’s side of the family.

But before I begin you need to know this. On Christmas my family goes to either San Diego (which is where my mom’s mom lives and my mom’s dad used to live) or Melbourne (which is where my dad’s parents, some friends, brothers and sisters, and nieces and nephews live). What my family would do is we would alternate where we would go. For example we would go to San Diego then the next Christmas we would go to Melbourne and so on. But I’m going to tell you what Christmases are like in Melbourne.

So normally we would go to Melbourne a bit early. We would go on the plane from Singapore to Melbourne and fly to Melbourne. When we get to Melbourne we get our luggage and wait for my dad’s parents to pick us up (or we would get a restless car for our stay in Melbourne). Then when we get to the house usually I would get out of the car, say hi to my grandparents then run to their shed to stay with Lani for a bit (Lani is my grandparents outside cat). Lani is an adult gray tabby cat.

When it starts to get close to Christmas we start to decorate the house. My grandparents already have this Nativity Scene that’s already up when we get there. So we put up the Christmas tree and decorate it and outside in their backyard they have these trees that we decorate with tinsel.

On Christmas day we wake up have breakfast and all our usual things then when it almost time for the small Christmas barbecue type party thing with our cousins, uncles, and aunts we get ready, like we start cooking the food and I like to get a piece of paper and write “Merry Christmas” on it and tape it on the gate to the house so when everyone comes they see a sight that says “Merry Christmas” on it. After all the cousins eat we usually play games in the yard then, when the parents finish talking and eating we start the fun. We bring out water balloons. You know where this is going.

So we bring out the water balloons and fill them up with water then we have a big water balloon fight with everyone (I usually don’t participate though…. Actually I never remember participating except once.)

After that we open presents and everyone goes home… until New Years…

A Trip to Rawa

I’m going to tell you about my trip to Rawa. I went to Rawa with my friends you might of heard of in my blog post Going To Bintan Ms. Midy, Deven, and Suraya (Raya for short). I also went there with my mom’s mom (my grandma). Rawa is an island in Malaysia.

Anyways when we got to Rawa we checked into our room. The rooms were kind of on a hill and looked a bit like cabins. There were lots of peacocks and peafowls (peacocks are male and peafowls are female).

At Rawa my dad, mom, and I would go snorkeling and we saw pufferfish, clownfish, angelfish, and lots of other cool fish. There was also a big slide that would go to the ocean. My older brother Max got his diving certification and I had my first diving lesson.

My diving teacher asked if I wanted to go swim with sharks and I wasn’t really sure I wanted to go diving with sharks so I said “Maybe.” And we ended up not swimming with sharks but it still was fun. Like I touched a shark eggs. It felt soft and a bit mushy. And the diving teacher made multiple circle bubbles. It was really fun.

I also got a peacock feather. And I remember when my brother and a friend we made when we were there, we were going to play on a trampoline they had by the restaurant. A peacock had its feathers spread and usually that means he’s mad or he is trying to impress a peafowl. And it looked like he was mad at us for some reason so we left the trampoline after a while when the peacock was coming towards the trampoline.

There were also some rats there so we would put 3 rat traps with a coconut piece inside to when they tried to take the coconut piece the door to the cage would fall down and trap the rats.

After a few days we had to go. It was very fun at Rawa!

Going to Bintan

I’m going to tell you about my trip to Bintan with my dad, mom, my 2 brothers (Christian and Max), and my friends Mrs. Mindy, Mr. Nate, Surya(Rya for short), Deven, and Zane this is what happened.

My mom, dad, Christian, Max, and I went on a boat from Singapore to Bintan. When we got to Bintan we got our luggage and got off the boat, then we went to check in at the terminal and took a bus to the resort.

When we got there we went to our room to put our thing down and then went to go see Mrs. Midy and Surya because Deven, Zane, and Mr. Nate was going to come later so we played for a bit.

Then it was time for dinner so we went to our rooms to get ready. After dinner they had a small party and Deven, Zane, and Mr. Nate came.

The next day Christian and I went to the kids club and we got to lots of activities like going on the trapeze and doing archery! It was very fun. Sometimes my family and I with our friends aloud go swimming and have milkshakes. After a few days it was time to go back home. The trip to Bintan was very fun!

Traveling to India

I’m going to talk about my trip to India. I went to India for my holiday. And it was my birthday when we went. We went to lots of places like for the night before my birthday we went and saw the Taj Mahal. Then after we sleped for a bit but then very very early on my birthday day we went inside the Taj Mahal!

We went to Jaipur and we went to lots of shops. We went to one shop and we got Indian clothes.I like wearing bindis. One hotel we stayed at they would give you a bindi made of rose petals and my younger brother liked wearing them so whenever we went to the front desk we would ask for a bindi.

Once we were on a tour  and I stepped on an earring I don’t know but I felt it I thought it was a rock so I tried to kick it out of my shoe but it didn’t work so I left it there when I tried to climb in the car so we could go see other things but then my older brother said your foot is bleeding I looked back at my foot and there was an earring stuck in my shoe! While my mom tried to help me get the earring out the tour guide went and got two chicks for us to hold and one of them pooped on my older brother’s hand!
